Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:

Happy Valentines Day! Been hearing from Erin cuz he bought a cell phone. Guees it must have been payday for them. He says he has free time in the evening, but still is feeling uncomfortable trying to decide what to do, since he was told exactly what to do for 2 months. So I guees, he went shopping for a cell and had a dairy queen flurry and I don't know what else. Guess he lost more than 20 lbs in boot camp. I am still uploading photos from graduation to the walmart online photo center and going to pick them up. Not sure why I couldn't get it together and order all at once, but at least I am getting the pics to whom I want them to go to. The problem is, I forgot to get some for a grandma and then a sis, and then Alyssa's grandpa. gotta get going for the day.Going to Zumba class soon, and must get ready for that. Talk to you later, hope you have a special valentines day.

Hi Tracey, Love the new photos of Charles in uniform you added. I hadn't realized it at the time, but it appears that your group probably sat right behind us (maybe 2 or 3 rows) at PIR, also saw a bunch of photos with our group in the background while you were taking pics of Charles after the graduation. So, guess, you all were right next to us then too, but we didn't realize it! You must have taken a bunch of pics. I have to download some more pics and add them to my sight. Will probably do that tonite. Well, gotta get ready for work. Just wanted to let you know that I saw the pics you added and they are very nice. You really caught a lot of moments, didn't you.

Hi Tracey! Glad you had a good experience with the Residence Inn. Wasn't PIR incredible??? Your nephew is a handsome guy. I still haven't seen my son in any uniform other than his dress blues!! Lucky you, looks like you at least had some decent weather for the PIR. It literally was the middle of a blizzard for us. No doing anything outside. So where is your nephew off to now? Also, go look at the MI moms site...we're having a SE MI (or really anyone who wants to come) get together in mid March in Royal Oak. We had a great time last time, and this time around, I'm sure there will be lots more of us. Anyway, Congrats to you and your family!

Hi Tracey,
got a call from Erin tonite and he said he and Charles went to Nex and galley today. They have moved into their new barracks and I am sure it is so much nicer than being bunked with 80 other guys. Er has a roomate who has been there awhile and knows the 'ropes'.
I am still glowing from the PIR weekend. Looking forward to seeing him again but will wait till we are invited. Sounds like they don't have a lot of responsibility this week, just go do whatever whoever is in charge tells them to do. But, things could change tomorrow, he doesn't know what to expect, but it has got to be more relaxing than listening to RDC's scream at the division. Gotta go. Wrote to Debbie tonite too and time for bed now. Talk to you later. Maybe next time we will meet. I hope so! I will make it a point next time, if we are there at the same time. Betty

Hi there! I did get your message. Haven't forgot about you. I am real excited also, I think I will pack this weekend! But, I think we are staying at Ramada, not Residence Inn-my mistake-but I bet they aren't too far away from each other. I will figure that out this weekend.
I guess Charles and Erin sleep on the top bunks somewhat near each other, is my impression. And, they are buds as I understand. I know Erin thinks a lot of Charles. It was probably a fun week for them this week with the fire and damage control. But not so great with the gas chamber! Oh well, they will have stories to tell about their big adventure! Erin says he wants some down time on Friday. Well, I am hoping it happens for him-because he says he wants it to happen. But I do also know a lot of people will be traveling to see him on Friday, and almost all are leaving Saturday. So, I hope he won't mind taking the down time on Saturday instead. But, I didn't say anything to him. I am thinking he is a grown man now, and if he wants down time, he needs to take it and let the others know if they want to do something else with him. But, of course, I will not have anything planned for him Friday, adhering to his wishes. But, i will be showering him with hugs, and will have to hold his hand the whole day, and give the other hand to his girlfriend to hold. anyways, I am so excited, I hardly know what to do with myself so I will probably pack! Take care. I will write you once I figure out if the hotels are close to one another. Free beer-I am willing to travel! I feel like a lush sometimes, until I hear one of my veterans say he drinks a case of beer three times a week, then I feel like, oh well, the three beers I have a week (apprx) , is not so lush like! .Betty

Hi Tracy, I can't seem to find the graduation package that I can purchase. I followed the link you provided but couldn't find much about how to order. I wanted to send Erin a check to purchase while he was there, or else order online, but am not finding info to do either of those. Any suggestions?
It will be kind of hard to figure who is going to get to go to the PIR. I know it will be my husband, myself and Erin's girlfriend. But maybe we'll have to draw names to see who the 4th person will be.
Am starting to get it together as far as arrangements-or at least thinking and talking about it now. That's progress-I guess. I will speak with hubby about it more. Gotta go. Just got home from work and need to start supper soon. Take care. Talk to you later. Betty
