Hi Marianne, it was pretty nice today, but it has been cooold!! I agree I love walking on the beach in the winter, It's so beautiful and quiet!!! Hope we can all get together soon!
Hi all, Yup we're spontanious, Trish,,and "retired"....so we can go anytime, anyplace. =) I have my physical therapy on Wed./ Friday,,but we are free anyother time.
Hi Trish, would love to get together, even to just meet for coffee(well, I don't drink coffee, but you get the idea). We came by Smith's Castle on Saturday, but I thought it opened at 10 A.M., so we were there much too early, and then we had so much…
Hi all, I have not been on in a while, so I didn't see the note about meeting until today, sorry I won't be able to make it. Enjoy, and hope to see you all soon.

I'm hoping to start up some conversations with moms with sons or daughters in Corps school, Great Lakes. That would be nice if anyone was from Rhode Island. Or it really doesn't matter where you are. My experience with my son leaving home was like a wild roller coaster ride. I'm half way through this-but would love to hear from others.
Trish, just wanted to say "hi" and thanks for starting the R.I. group! Some of us got together yesterday, it is great to have the connections with the families here in R.I. I love your pictures!
Hi Trish- sorry I haven't answered sooner, please pardon the bad manners. We had a new grandbaby born in Newport, and I've been on the road back and forth to help Mom out. He's a little doll, but I forgot how much work a little one is. LOL.
Hope your son is doing good. Is he stateside? Jeff is in Kuwait, now. Seems like he just got home from the sandbox, and I can't wait for another reunion at TFGreen. :o)
What an honor to be able to swear your son into the Navy.!!
How are you doing?.. it's still an emotional rollercoaster for me,,and Jeff has been in for 16 years. We are beginning to hear the word "retirement"-- don't know where the years have gone to. Jean
Trish :)
Hello and Welcome! I love the photos you have uploaded!
We are happy to have you here! Thank you for joining our group and sharing your story! I am so happy to see that you are already talking to the moms. Oh, did you check out the groups recently..they started a Nurse group and a group for moms in the navy... :) Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the site! Sincerely, Catherine
I thought it was so neat that you swore him in. Can you post a picture. I look back and could kick myself for not going in as an officer after I got my nursing degree. For this reason, I am proud that my Patrick is moving in that direction. That is so cool that your Patrick wants to go to Medical School. i wish him lots of luck. Remember, try and post the picture. Where are you stationed, what's your rank and how much time to you have in the Military?
God Bless both of you for your service.
Patrick went to one of our priests also and he blessed him. He was so encouraging. I tried to get him to go to the bishop when his brother received Confirmation (the Saturday before he left) but he wouldn't do it. Granted he would have had to wait around until pictures were done, etc. so I can't really blame him for not wanting to hang around. I just thought it would have been neat. Yeah, everytime I come around the corner and see Patrick's car, my first thought is that he's home. NOT. Oh well, can't wait to hear from him. What exactly is your Patrick doing now?
