thank you all. I am so exited to see him. I am going to hug him really good from his mom who is so proud. He also has a sister and a brother that are very proud to be his sibs! I cannot wait to see him in uniform!

Graduation is coming, missed a call from tyler last night

I am heading to Greatlakees IL on Sept 10 for Tyler's graduation on the 11th. Anyone have a son in div 313? I missed a call from Tyler last night and his message said he had passed all his tests and is now an official sailor. Could not be prouder.

I continue to get regular letters from Tyler

I love hearing from him. He is really proud to be learning so much. I never heard anyone say they enjoyed boot camp the way he does. Although he does not like the food or the inspections... Can't wait to see him graduate on 9/11!

Does anyone know why they are only allowed to have 4 people to go to graduation? I have disappointed family that wanted to go.

Here's the RTC graduation page. Once you have his division # you can check to see if his division;s PIR (Navy boot camp graduation) is listed yet. If it isn't listed yet, just keep checking back, it is updated each Friday.

Hang in there! I know it's hard, just keep reminding yourself that everyday you get thru is one day closer to seeing him at his graduation as a brand new Navy sailor!

My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my future son-in-law Tim has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What will your son be doing with the Navy? We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Welcome, This site has helped my family out alot. My son left 7/10 for Bootcamp. I got the box 6days after and just got the letter yesterday. It dont say much from him, "just text my friends for me mom" and that he was ok. Do you know whay ship# and div. #.? You can call his recruit officer they will have his address. I got my sons 2 days after he left. And I know how you feel I miss my son so much. He called aweek ago for 30 secs. and that has been it. good luck , stay in touch
