Hi Valerie,
Thanks for dropping me a line. I will keep everyone posted on Trevor's hand, but he hasn't had another check up yet, so we are still awaiting the news on that. I think he is supposed to see a doctor today (his today, our tomorrow).
I love all the pics on your page.

yeah! I know what you mean about the house. We've been gone all week and prob. most of this coming week with the sale and we do our walk thru on this Fri. and sign papers on Monday so I've used that excuse that I'll clean it while we are moving. LOL I got a quick note from Daniel this morning. I had asked him about the girlfriend he hadn't mentioned her lately. I just sent him off a package yesterday with his birthday or x-mas which ever there is only 5 days different. It is hard missing both and this is the second year he's had to spend them alone cuz he left for Japan last Dec. 13th but he doesn't seem to be bothered by it. He is kind of like his dad they are just another day. My family always made a big deal and got together so it bothers me more. Well hope you have a good week. Take care. Terra

Good morning. I haven't been on in awhile I've been working alot and come home so tired all I do is check my email for Daniel and I haven't even heard much from him. I know last week they were in the Phillipins but after that I have no idea. He was supose to be taking pics for me but lost his camera so now he is supose to be getting some from the other guys. Don't know where he is but said he should be getting hazard pay. Gee it did not make me feel comfortable when he said that but I heard from him this last night and this morning so I know he is ok. He wants to go take a class next year that he had to qualify by passing scuba class and if he does he would be I guess like a special ops, taking over ships or oil rigs so I guess that is where the scuba diving comes in. Sounds kinda of dangerous but if thats what he wants there's not much I can do. He has a girlfriend over there so maybe that will change his mind. Did you add some new pics or did I just not remember a couple of them. I need to get on Daniels myspace and try to put some of the pics he took last year and earlier this year on my computer so I can put them on. He sent one of his girlfriend but I didn't do anything with it yet she doesn't know I have it. He hasn't met her parents yet they are chicken cuz they don't like the sailor's. I guess some of the boys get a little wild at port and it sets a bad rep. Well just thought I'd check to see how you were doing go to run get ready for church, take care.

Yeah Daniel said he travels by train and is learning to speak Japanese. He said the phones they have are amazing that they do almost everything and so if he can't understand something he just types it in his phone and it translates it. I know he takes the trains alot he has a girlfriend there he meets. You have some neat pics. I told daniel he needed to take more pics

I know what you mean. Daniel got to choose where he was going and his first choice was Iraq but I was dead set against it so he chose Japan. Next he wants to go to Hawaii. That would be good. I'll have to check out the pic. Lucky for Daniel we always use to call him a hermit. He would stay in his room for days and come out only for food, bathroom and shower. As long as he has a computer he doesn't need much else. It's funny cuz he always makes friend easy but he can be with or without people. Not I Id go nuts.

I guess Daniel was really lucky to experience it with in his first year. I can't wait to have him come home ans share some more of his fun with us. I wish that he would take more pics but since he hates his pic taken I guess I'm lucky I get what I get. All the pics I have of him at home at graduation are of his back or siide. He wouldn't let us take any.

Hi Valerie. OMGosh! I was reading your story about Jonathan and 9/11. OMG! I would have been a basket case at that time had my son been in bc. Ty's only been out of bc for a month now and will class up 10/31. He's still in G.L. (AECF - the FC strand) and will be in A school for 147 days. It's nice when they finally grad bc and you can talk with them on a daily basis again. So what does Jonathan do in San diego? Is he planning on staying in the Navy?

Hi welcome to Navyformoms.com

Profile Information

About me:
Obviously, I 'm a proud Navy Mom. My only son has been in the Navy for 7 1/2 years, entering the Navy in May 2001. He was in A school on September 11, 2001. I will never foget the phone call I received on that morning from a very young, very inexperienced and very scared new sailor. He has come a long way since that morning. It hasn't been an easy road for either of us, but he is 2 years into his second enlistment now, and he is stronger, more intelligent and much wiser. I couldn't love him more.
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It's okay to let go. All the love, all the lessons, all the hope and fears...they will stay with your child, and they will remember.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made
