When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Trust my son to know what he was doing and to seek support, advice and help from those who know.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Lynettes flight comes in at 6:50 tomorrow, I'll pick her up after work, I get off at 6:30. That is nice of Adam to take her to point Magu with him and his girlfriend, Lynette ran into problems rerouting flights and all, so this works out great.

Hi Valerie,
Did your son make it back to Pensacola Saturday? Maybe my son was one of his cab mates. He was riding with 2 other sailors. I'm so glad he found some other guys to travel with.
That was quite a day. He left home at 1:30AM and finally arrived in Pensacola around 7pm. I think we could've driven him down there quicker!

How come guys think they have to be superman? My husband after all these years has lifted himself into a bad back. So tell your son even tho his back is fine now, later it can get bad. Maybe the hernia will have taught him to take it a little eaisier....He sounds like he will be good to go by the time school starts : )

Hi Valerie, I read your comment on Pensacola site re: your son's friend. Please direct him to the chaplain on base. They will help him with grieving.

Hey Valerie, I knew before that Adam's Bday was the 26th, then spaced it this week! Hope you had a chance to talk to him at least. I'm sure it was a bit rough on Mom. :( How's he doing over all? How often does he call? Has he started the next phase of his training yet? Have you seen how busy the WA/ORE group is these days? Holy smokies! Every one's planning , supporting and meeting up. Jump in anytime. =) ((hugs))
