- About me:
- My name is Vianka, I am 20 years old, I am majoring in biology. I have always had an interested in the Navy but always had my friends tell me that I was crazy and that it wasn't me. Well i tried the "normal thing" going straight to college after high school but it still didn't feel right. So I decided to do some research on the Navy again and as i read up on all the benefits and cool stories, I felt like I would fit in just fine. The following day i called a recruiting office and 2 weeks latee I DEPPED in. =) I go to boot camp jan 2010. I am very excited! still in school to help make time go by faster. lol... I am super out-going, I am always laughing and I am all about having great time, I am a firm believer of life being nothing but a dream so make the most out of it. I am huge on family I love my parents they are the best, they are very supportive, I have the greatest little sister anyone could ever ask for, which I am going to miss the most. =/ and i think that's pretty much it.
and btw so far I think that navy for moms is that best website ever. when i first came across it I was reading some of the stories about mothers missing their sons/daughters and I got teary eyed because I will be in their shoes in just a few short months. It is kind of a crazy thought for me. I feel like it hasn't completely hit me that I am leaving the nest.

- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- So far since I have DEPPED in I've learned that the Navy is all about helping one another. My recruiting office is the best I love all the recruiters. My recruiter especially has been great with me and my family. My mom the first month or so called him on a daily basis asking him crazy questions lol. And I am sure I'lladd on to this once I go on my "Navy Adventures" =D
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
