About me:
I am a mother of 4 children, 3 boys ages 29,26, 24 yrs old and a daughter is 11 yrs old. My oldest Justin, is in bootcamp. He and my daughter are so very close, she is his little RUNT. I enjoy sewing, scrap booking, crafts. I am relying on my faith in God to help me get through this journey,I am scared and anxious but he is faithful. I am upholding my son in prayer. I am proud of him. And wish my son the very best in life that God has for him.The best thing is being a mom to my GREAT KIDS

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That there is opportunities for my son to get the schooling and training he so badly desires. That there is a support system and that their are others out there just like us and the support system Navy for Moms has been for us. That I need to let my son as hard as it is spread his wings and fly and enjoy his dreams. Its okay and I am not alone to have my son take a piece of my heart and we will survive. I am so PROUD of my SON!!!! GO NAVY GO
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go, I wiil guide thee with mine eyes. Psalm 32:8
" All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" Matt 21:22
He is not afraid of receiving bad news, his faith is strong, and he trusts in the Lord. Ps ll2:17

We are still trusting God for whats ahead for us, BUT we are still willing to rally and cheer others on in their journeys and adventures in the Navy. GO Sailors GO you can do it.

Vonnie, hi back. Thanks for writing. It sounds as if you and your family are settling in to the new direction. Good. How wonderful on the grandma bit. I love being a grandmother. I have 2, one of each, and even though they live far away, I love calling every day. You will love it.
I've been sick this week, bad cough and losing my voice. That's hard when you are a teacher, but the kids have been great. I'll be glad when the week is over.
Our son is on his first deployment. Won't be back for a while. Some days good, and some days not the greatest. It's a challenge to get used to.
It's about time to get to bed. Have to be up early tomorrow. God bless you and yours. Enjoy the great weather for one more day. I'm not looking forward to the snow season yet. :) carol

Just popping by to say hello to everyone. I have been praying for you all and your soldiers. Due to my daughters medical issues I have not been able to get on the computer much but wanted to let you know that I do think about you all. Please let your soldiers know how proud and that they are being covered in prayer. Hugs to you all and hope you are having a awesome night. Hugs and Love Vonnie

Hello Vonnie how are you and the family doing? I pray all is well. When I read this scripture I thought of you & wanted to share.

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

God bless

Vonnie, I have tried to call you 4-5 times and also texted you and got no response. I figured that when you were ready to talk to me you would call. Hope you are having a great day. We are still waiting to see when Stuarts body is going to be released from the forensic autopsy in Nashville.

Thanks for the info, Vonnie! I think the room does have a mini-fridge, but not 100% sure. I was thinking I might have to get a cheap styrofoam cooler to use then discard it before we take off. Hey... I'll do whatever it takes to treat my son, after what he's been through!! LOL
