Sorry to hear about your sons actions...I had a case similar to this, but my son's problem in 9th grade was not only failing in grades, not caring, but even when restricted until grades got better, still did not care..I actually started in 8th grade…

About me:
By No Means am I a Navy Mom; However, I am a Navy Veteran that served 13 years from '79 to '92, and have a 19 yr old son that I am trying to get in Air Force, or Navy. Just found this site and if occasion comes up and you may be curious about Navy and possibly what your sons/daughters may be going through, would love to lend my experiences or opinions. Went through being married to Navy member, two kids that with the separation, went sour....If I only had a listening ear/good advise, where might my life had gone...Anyway, here to help if and when needed....

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
