- My son has grown into an outstanding young man and is very independent and courteous and caring!

- Thanks for the info on the plane. I may try that! We have good friends that live in Mobile. And originally, my husband and I are from southern Louisiana.
I doubt our sailors know each other since they are on different boats. I know the crews seem to associate with their own boat's family.
You will have to let me know how your trip goes in December. The places you went that were worth visiting, etc. We are planning to start checking out what there is to do and see on Oahu soon.

- I was just getting my day started with my part time job this morning when Trevor called....where ever they were at it was noisy!!!! I'm glad that they all take the time to call us. We are about 4 1/2 hours from St. Louis. We live in Kearney which is on the northern edge of Kansas City.

What a great idea about the V-Day cards! Many thanks for the Hint Dropping....I'm a mom just needing to hear the sailor's voice these days.....nothing important to say....just missing him a lot. The beard sounds like fun for them, but isn't it more hot? Martin has grown a little chin hair a couple of times before enlisting, but nothing as complete as a beard...who knows, he might try it. The hair on his head bugs him (because it's so thick, it's really hot)...he has rarely let it grow very long....this will be fun to watch for! Hope you have a great week.

- Sorry I got it wrong, I thought the fair was last weekend....hope it's dry and sunny for you! If you do get that call, and have the time, would you mind dropping the hint that there's another Mom who would REALLY love to hear her son's voice? :).......just a Mom thing! I'm going to write a "regular" letter soon...I'm not nearly as prompt about that as I should be. Take Care!

- Pam: I love it!!!! Glad he has the chance to enjoy himself....maybe he's friends with the cook, and can have his own "mini luau"!....I mentioned to Sue that we got a short e-mail from our sailor this morning.. just a couple of sentances. He has said "thanks and everyone loves the Molly's stuff", but no other details. I just think his head is somewhere else right now. He mentioned studying really hard, so I'm not going to question the wisdom of that! (Even though I know the advancement test has already been taken~~)
How did the fair come out?...hope the weather cooperated. It has rained here off and on all week...not much sunshine. My computer at home has decided it will decide when I can add comments here...it has something to do with that old e-mail glitch, I'm sure, but I'm answering from work right now.....Ugh....
