Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The Navy will provide a great experience, but a challenging life. I have been a Navy wife for 24 years and a Navy civilian for 13 years... Our family has gain LOTS from the Navy both as persons and financially. Move around the world and got the opportunities to travel all over Europe thanks to PCS moves. Now as a civilian, the moves might continue.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Yary, welcome to Navy4Moms. I tried to leave you a comment yesterday but the web site was down for maintenance. I do have an extra seat, but I think it is too late to get your daughter's name on my list. The recruits have to list who they want and I will not have a chance to tell my son before graduation. I don't think you will have a problem in getting her a seat.

I have enjoyed talking with Christie and I'm looking forward to meeting her and the rest of Alfonso's family.

I am glad I did not log to this forum before it is totally stressful...I got over 200 e-mails on the entries just just one afternoon. I already remove that alert... Alfonso is Christie's BF and he know about your son, Sailor Moon... I know most parents are super proud and to be honest, I was proud but not happy that he enlisted in the Navy. He just got his degree and he was not able to walk for his graduation because he was in boot camp. Not sad because he enlisted in the Navy, the Navy has been great to us and it continues to be great to me. I am a civilian in the Navy and I am changing jobs to be a Contigency Officer and I cannot complained. I think the part that worried or made me upset is that after getting the degree he joined as an enlisted. IOne area I was super excited about the possible changes that bootcamp could have on Alfonso but when he called two days ago that was the first think he mentioned " Mom, I have not changed"... Someone washes my laundry and someone folds and put it away... That is crazy... I know Christie mentioned the hispanic tradition, it is true, we spoiled our kids and they are always kids, believe me I am still my mom's little girl... But I was hoping for some dramatic changes, I am really worried about his weight because he is a super picky eater but he mentioned that he is eating potatoes and even fish... Hope to meet you on Thursday!!!!

Hello Yary,
Your daughter will be allowed in but she will have to wait until 8:15. Sue, the Purple Pig works at the GL and she assured me that they will have room for my daughter but that she would have to wait entry until 8:15. I believe this is to allow plenty of time for the people who are on the list to get in and be seated. She told me that there should be plenty of seating left afterward.
You may want to verify this through Sue. She is very knowledgable and won't steer you wrong.
