That's great to hear that our sons know each other and bunk nearby! Sometimes I'd sure love to be a little mouse in the corner! I am currently just sick at heart because I missed Nate's phone call today... (I was at work, in a meeting. Argh!)

We just returned from vacation today. to our surprize a letter was waiting in the mail box. All still sounds up beat. My son wrote that there are three EOD's in his DIV. I'm guessing your son is one of them. I hope your son is staying upbeat also. I gald to hear your vacation was enjoyable.

Akcarol, Have you heard from Mikel yet. Bradlee wrote his girlfriend and said that they had lost several from their Div already. Says some have quit and some discharged. Have you heard anything?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
We were so surprised when we met up with our son following PIR, he had changed so much. It was like he grew up between his ship out date and his PIR.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
