Hey Kerri,

How are you holding up? I'm doing so much better since my son was able to call. It was only for 5 minutes, but in those 5 minutes he sounded great! I'm hoping I get a letter this week. He said that he thought they would be able to write on this past Sunday. So, maybe, any day a letter???

Have you heard anything from your daughter yet?

I saw your post on Donna's site. My son left on the 29th and I just got the address from the recruiter. When she picked him up she told me she would have it 72 hours after he left....and if I didn't hear from her to call her. So, I called her all day! She just texted me the address.
So, if you don't have the address yet, try the recruiter. If they know you and your daughter are close they will pass it on to you. Be prepared, because I was also told that some don't. Just a thought.

You aren't alone. My son left on Sept 28th as well. I got his box today and I can't stop the tears. I haven't gotten his form letter or contact from the recruiter with his contact info. Have you gotten your sailor's info yet? Hugs to you..

Sorry to hear about the phone coming back...was hoping that they had changed that. Did you get the address yet? I had to learn not to get so disappointed when I read about other divisions getting phone calls...waiting all day for my son's div and not getting a call. I learned to appreciate mail day because I knew I could count on that. I was surprised a time or two.
he called the 1st needing some info. It was short but great to hear his voice. then the last week before PIR. He had told me they may not get to write so I didn't too excited...I was elated when I got a letter. From what we experienced the 1st calls didn't start till about 2 weeks in...hang in there. It will go fast. I look back and can hardly believe it was last June when he graduated. Hang in there.

SOON ENOUGH FOR ME that's for sure :) I'm wondering what today is going to be like for them. What happens on Sunday? I'm sure there's no "day of rest" :(
My husband and I and our daughter and her husband will be at the Saints game today. She's expecting her firstborn any day now. I've have my cell in my hand the entire time! God Bless, Donna
