I totally agree with Beverly. The recruiters may seem somewhat "all business", but if you just take a moment to really look them in the eye and ask them for a moment, they will definitely come to your home and answer any questions you or her may hav…

Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
a new ballgame! It was fun, exciting and a tad bit scarey. Awed at the fact that all military branches are all for one and one for all!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

Hi, Thanks for thinking of me. Actually Todd's experience at boot camp has taken a odd turn of events. About 3 weeks into boot camp Todd had an allergic reaction to something and his face swelled up. The Navy has decided to release Todd on a medical discharge. Todd filed a waiver and it was denied. He was moved to Ship 5 for discharge in week 5 of boot camp. He has filed an appeal. We were able to get our senators and congressmen involved and his case has gone congressional. We are waiting to see what they decide, but truly I think it will be a miracle if he wins. They are discharging people left and right these days. So we have been super stressed over this and praying hard. What a roller coaster ride. If he wins the appeal he will be moved back to boot camp and finish up his last 3 weeks. Sad part is he would have graduated next weekend. :O( Keeping our fingers crossed.

Hi, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my future son-in-law Tim has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What is your son/daughter doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat
