Hi Bailee! When did your boyfriend leave for bootcamp? i know for me the first month of bootcamp was the hardest, but the second month went by reallly fast and then he got to come home for 16 days for Christmas and now hes at A_school and its a lot easier with phones and computer.
If you have any questions please ask, i know i was on the site 24/7 while Pete was in boot camp and some stuff ws helpful, but just a qyuck tip...dont freak out about anything you see on this site. EVERYONES situation is different, each sailor from each division is also different. But please ask if you have any questions. i know its hard right ow, but it will get better

Hello Bailee
I am running days behind but am trying to get to all new members... so will try to catch up tonight.
Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

Aw love, did his mom get the phone call when he first arrived at boot camp? They are normally suppose to get a quick like 30 second phone call when they first arrive. AJ's mom got the call but she called me right away to let me know and he said please tell amanda i love her but i cant make any more calls. I am really surprised that no one heard from him, but maybe they got there late or something!
One thing that really helps me is spending time with his family. His parents are like my second parents and I am also close with his sisters. I have spent so much time with his mom and we have done so much stuff to help the time pass by. It just makes me feel closer to him being at his house and being with his family. Hope you are hanging in there love:)

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
refrase mom to girlfriend and i think him being gone, is going to prove to people that just because were young, we can be faithful and be strong together and become better as a couple. and prove everone wrong and that were just not teenagers.
