My son's name is Jared. I'm not sure what he did this cruise since he just got to the ship half way through deployment. He wants to work around the guns. hahaha. I shed many tears every time he went back and forth to school, we live in PA and he went to college at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am also very emotional and when it came time to put on his bars I didn't cry it was such a proud moment I could only compare to the day he was born.

That would be cool to see Dennis's pic from his cruise, Jared only did 2 he liked them both. I hope Dennis gets into Nuke school.

Hi Christine!-
I'm sorry it took me a bit to get back to you. I've had a busy few days and I've been sick. 5 kids! God Bless You! Good Luck to your son on his Nuke Interview. He's probably so busy right now on his exchange program that you are doing all the worrying for both of you ;) One of my daughter's friends is on summer cruise in the North Sea somewhere.
Kara just finished her 1st year so she'll be a sophmore at RPI- BioMed Engineering right now. Wasn't able to do summer cruise this year so she's home. I'm glad you joined N4M and the NROTC group. I'll be popping back over there shortly and will have more time to contribute.

Thanks so much-
Paulette

Hi Christine, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT3 & my son Tim (19) has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz.. What is your son/daughter doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat
