Profile Information

About me:
I have lived in Lake in the Hills for over 50 years. I work part-time at Northwest Community Hospital as a pediatric RN. I have 7 children which includes 2 sets of twins. One of the older twins, a girl, is in the Navy. This is her second year and she is due to be deployed to Afghanistan sometime in the next few months.

Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The military surely makes a person stronger and more independent. Change brings more challenges and responsibilities everyday.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi wanted to let you know you can get a Blue Star Flag free from Grantham University. Go to there website and there is a spot to click on for the free flag. It takes about 12 weeks to get it. That is where I got mine and it looks real nice. I have it displayed in my front window. I also googled blue star pins and bought my blue star pin from a website that came up. I think it was just called Blue star mothers. But if you google it you can find it I'm sure. I hope this helps you. Best Wishes!

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
