Hello Darlene

Please forgive me about being so slow to respond to your comments.
My son, set sail onto the Pacific in April, so he's been on the ocean for three months. And I miss him so dearly, and I cannot wait until he is back on shore.

Do you live in Port Hueneme? I was out there in Jan to see Sarah. I haven't spent much time in Cal. but it was beautiful there although awfully busy. I live in a town of 300 so it was a little overwhelming for me. The ocean is just beautiful!!!

You're right! It's not the same talking to the hubby. They try to be strong even though they break down. I think they don't want to talk about it because they'll get upset and they are suppose to be the strong ones. Go figure! How are you doing with everything going on? I'm getting pretty stressed out myself. Hang in there and I will try to do the same.

Darlene: Sarah isn't on a ship. She is a seabee, "We build, we fight" is their motto. So she will always be stationed on land, usually close to the marines. Their history is pretty interesting, as is the history for the whole navy. What does your son do in the Navy?
