Oh I wanted to recommend the set a side program. You dont pay the credit check fee, security deposit and rent is dont by allotment right out of the service members paycheck. Its an awesome program. We use it. Not all places accept it but I would look in to it :)

The complex I live in is very nice. Lots of space, two playgrounds, pool, 3miles from beach, good elem school. Doesn't take to long to get to Norfolk, yet we are close to Oceana for Nex and Commissary and also close to Little Creek for those things.

Dartangion, I haven't talked to you since the night before you left for boot camp graduation. I have had a crazy summer and haven't been on N4M but very briefly. How did graduation go? Did you and your son enjoy the flight? Where is your wife stationed at now, still in Florida? Are you still in NC? Just a few questions. Would love to hear about your life. My son got orders. He will be in Little Creek as a Riverine. He is very excited. Leaves GL Sept 10 just four days shy of a year. Way to long in his book, lol.

My son has an apartment that he'd like to move out of due to the fact that his room mate totaled his truck and now he doesn't have a way to get to and from the base. He needs to move back to the ship. The lease is up in March so if he had someone to take it over his chances of being allowed to leave are better. It is Mayfair apts. in VA Beach. $800/mo, 2BR 1 BA, new carpet, balcony, includes water and garbage, second floor, good storage space...lots of closets. It's clean and pretty quiet (stayed there for 4 days). Interested?
