hey, nice to hear from you. hope all is well. found out michael is leaving for spain on sunday, then to final destination. wondering about the phone situation and if i need to switch plans to international. and then of course the whole mail thing. do i send it to the base in cali 1st then they forward it...or directly to spain when and if i get an address.

denise. im in iraq now. send mail often even if it is letters. packages should probably consist of whatever he asks for as well MOVIES, music (you'll be surprised how weird it is to think you're listening to a 'new' song when in fact its old new to the rest of the world) and lots of encouragement. The rest is all in his hands.

Photobucket How is everything going in Gulfport with your son? Still pretty hot, how have the storms been there? have you been talking lots? they do some neat community service also! Make sure he phases' up. phase 3 gets them off base on non-duty weekends if he wants to go stay in one of the great hotels along the beach with a pool and a New" outlook!

Yes, i live in Guilderland, its not too far from Albany. My husband was glad to get out of great lakes and to a warmer climate, but Mississippi is very humid. It gets to be very hot in the summer months and the winter season is like New York's fall season, so it isn't too bad.

Hello Denise, welcome to the Seabee world. They are a close group.You can Google' Seabee for offical info, but reading all the discusions in the two groups you joined, gives you a moms' view. Hope you looked at all the pics and videos I have put up, check out my page' as well for photos and comments, as my son just graduated A school July 24th and I have pictures and videos of that. Any questions, write>>> my son loved Gulfport AND made some very close friends while there., Linda

Hi there, San Diego was beautiful, just a light fog one night, and gorgeous during the days. He's got his vehicle now and that will make a difference in giving him a way to get errands run without having to make arrangements ahead of time. Hope you have a FABULOUS day:)!

Hi Denise-
Kyle is in Coronado but I haven't talked to him since before Indoc started. So other than he is happy to have a microwave and fridge in his room, I don't know too much! He also told me his internet service is working much better than it did in Great Lakes. He is really excited to be there.

Hi Denise-
Just wanted you to know that when you are checking around for airfares, don't forget to compare prices with coming in to the Milwaukee airport. It is about the same distance to the base from O'Hare and we were able to get a $99 flight there from Maryland. I assume you will be renting a car (there is no train to this airport like O'Hare has).
