Hi Dianne! I wasn't on the internet for a while. What brings you so often to Mount Vernon? Alexandria? I am going to look on the map to see where it is. How is your son doing? Sho is doing fine, but I don't hear from her much right now. Let me know how things are.

Hi Dianne, Did you see your son mentioned in the Five Star? it is in the press releases under the title First Carrier to Deploy in NWU's.

i thought it did. I know it stands for something about aircraft. so I went to the USS Regan's website and it says
"What do the initials CVN stand for in the ship's name?
CVN is our ship's "hull classification symbol" while 76 is the hull number. "C" means aircraft carrier, "V" indicates fixed wing (vice rotating wings as on helicopters), and "N" stands for nuclear powered. So CVN means (in Navy-speak) "aircraft carrier, fixed wing, nuclear powered".

My grandparents and my father are all from Alexandria and then they moved to Pataskala sadly, my grandparents are buried in Pataskala. My cousin used to live in Pataskala. She has moved back to Centerburg now. Nice to see people who live in Ohio and are going through the same as you. My husband loves the empty nest also, but I am sure if you asked him he would tell you he misses his children also....just not as much as MOM does.......

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
How much we worrie about our kids when they are out to sea or even when they r in port. but how proud we are of our son.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
