Hello and welcome to Japan Navy Moms..... I have a son stationed in Iwakuni and he is a Seabee. He has only been there four months and so far he likes it.It's great to talk to moms with sons on the same base.It was great to talk with Denise when my son first arrived in Japan because I was a nervous wreck!!! I am also going to Japan at the end of October. Maybe, we'll be there at the same time! Have a nice weekend and let me know if you need any info. Sharon

You can also look up the Iwakuni Approach the bases newspaper. Hiroshima is near by and my son does a lot of weekends there. I have not been yet but in hopes of going in Sept. As I said my son is a Navy corpsman works at the clinic on base, what does your son do? Let me know what else you would like to know. Take care, Denise

Yes I will get back to you tomorrow sometime as I am headed out to work now. I will give you the heads up that once he has settled in and made friends it is a good idea to get one of those friends cell phone numbers too, you know just in case. I have never needed to use it but do have his buddies #.
