Profile Information

About me:
Andrew and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary when he decided to join the Navy... it took quite a bit of soul searching before I was 100% supportive of his decision... we have an AMAZING 3 year old son named AJ. My husband left for bootcamp the day before thanksgiving and will graduate on 1/23. He will be going to Pensacola for A-School for aviation electronics... I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband!

Hi Gina,I

t's time for all of us to get together again. We are going to meet Saturday, August 29. I placed a discussion out there a while back, but with summer and busy schedules there weren’t too many responses. With that in mind, I am going to invite all who are interested to my home and we’ll BBQ and pack boxes and just catch up on our Sailors. I don’t know that I have all of the Colorado Moms on my email, so please feel free to pass this along to any on your friends list. As always the more the merrier. My address is 12165 W. 85th Avenue Arvada, CO 80005 303-463-8912 (home) 303-982-0590 (work). Please go to the event page and RSVP if you are coming.

Molly’s Adopt-A-Sailors have adopted the USS CROMMELIN. The USS Crommelin is a frigate and the home to 252 of our sailors. They are based out of Hawaii and are currently on deployment. There are 250 males and 2 females aboard.
And, not only are they happy about us adopting them, they are ecstatic!
They will be half-way through deployment about mid-September, so we are going to help them celebrate with a HAWAIIAN LUAU. Let’s show our Colorado Love.

Check out Molly’s Adopt-A-Sailor site for more details. The discussion link is August 09.

Hope to see lots of your smiling faces 

Good Morning, Gina. Glad Andrew found Joseph. That would be great if he can get into Joseph's duty station. Life is wild here but should slow down after next week. School with be out and base ball season over. We are going down to see Joseph the weekend of the 29th. Anything Andrew needs? Beside you and AJ? How is AJ doing? Got to get back to work, stay in touch.

To Our Special N4MS Moms!

Mother’s Day Blessing

Just as God gives to each rose
A gentle touch of dew
And gives unto each evening sky
The lovely sunset’s hue

So may he give to you
From his enduring love
Great happiness and hearts’ content
And blessings from above.

Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day from Brenda S., aka, Sailor Moon

Hi Gina, My name is Gena also. My hubby and I have been married going on 4 years June 9th. He leaves for bootcamp June 2nd. I am extremely nervous as this is a big change for the two of us as well as our 3year old daughter. What advice do you have? Also he is going to Pensacola for his schooling for Aviation also. I have been hearing a lot about holds for school. How does that work? And after he is in school how often do you get to see your husband? We were thinking of relocating to the Pensacola area for the duration of his schooling. Do you know if they allow them to live off the base while they are in school. Just extremely curious. How is your husband doing as well as you and your 3 year old with all of the change?

Talked to Joseph this morning, told him Andrew was there in the George Washington. He saidhe would keep his eyes open. Joseph said to tell him, he is in Building F (foxtrot) Room 278.

He should be able to find him. I know it is a big building, but Joseph made yeoman and has desk duty and a bunch of other duties too. I'll find out what his room number is, I feel so stupid not knowing it, and let you know. Joseph came home last weekend and got his car, so he has wheels down there. When Andrew finds him maybe they can go places together. And keep each other out of trouble. Stay in touch. Give my love to AJ, I know he misses his dad.

Hi Gina! I am a new Navy wife too. My husband is in GL as well on hold for A school. At least you know he'll be leaving at the end of the month for Pensacola, I have no clue when my husband will start A school. Your hubby's A school is an entire year? Wow, thats a long time. Do you have a son or a daughter? I know your baby is missing him too, because my children are. I have two sons ages 5 and 14 months, and I am finally having my daughter this June! Maybe we'll be able to help each other through the next few months.
