My son is in A-school in GL. He is on the Essex. They were told leave chits have to be submitted prior to 11/25/09. All paperwork for leave (LES stmt, travel itinerary) had to be submitted by then too. Also, they have to take entire leave or none....

i am wife and mother of 2 young men and grand mother of a 4 year old boy. my youngest is leaving for boot camp 9/30. i am slowly getting used to an emptier house. i work full time in the medical billing field .

We will be there going to the ship the 6th for a family crew event and media event, then 7th for the commissioning, not sure about the 8th, and then we will go back on the 11/9 from 9-11, and possibly on the 10th.

I would like the info on the USS NY commissioning on Nov 7. We live about 4-5 hours northwest of the city but love coming to visit the city every so often. Hi Helene, Sorry, but its been crazy. Adam came home for labor day and got married :) so it was a little crazy getting ready. I keep telling him to call, but stubborn is his middle name, he went back with a sinus infection got siq for 4 days this week. I push him, but ???? I gave him Pauls #, I wish they could sort of "run" into each other. Maybe Adam would then feel he is "doing it on his own". THanks again, I'll keep in touch

I read all of your emails, my heart is so saddned by what they have to go through. My son can be a real "winner" sometimes, when it comes to social skills. Just doesn't make friends very easy. I hope and pray he will call Paul. Adam is in so much pain, and when he takes the morph. then he gets a little different. I have read about this injury (left supeior pubic ramus) its in the inside of the hip in the center in the pubic bone. I have read that it is very painful.oops got to go to work

Things in Great lakes are good. I got up here in Febuary so i got to see the end of winter! It was great! My son and I loved the snow. I wouldn't mind staying here for another winter but i don't think that will happend.. =) Luis just finished A-school last week and he put in for orders.. but is on hold now. I wonder where they will end up sending us. My son is doing well and getting big.. being bad.. throwing fits haha. We're all good. Hope yall are doing good as well!
