You are welcome Lisa. =) It looks like you have deleted your original comment, so my reply looks a bit out of place here, as if I responded to the wrong discussion! LOL I do hope you have heard that Jon is at BC and doing well. Keep us posted on how…

Lisa, I'm sorry it has been a rough road for you and your son! You didn't say how old he is, but regardless, if he was old enough to enlist on his own, then the Recruiter probably cannot give you any information on him without his consent. :( Howeve…

Hello there Jackie's baby girl! I am a Navy mom for the past 3 years. Have patience with your mom. Its not easy letting go of someone you have protected for 19 years and put them in the hands of others but she has to learn to let you go and for you…

Did you go to Bennett College in Greensboro, NC? If so I went to Elon Univ. in Burlington, NC. In that case I'd recommend you to go Officer instead of Enlisted if possible, but that's a side note. About your post, I'm kind of in the same boat. My pa…

How are you doing in school??? I agree with NavyPop! The Navy is not going anywhere. My son decided to stop school because he was letting a bad personal relationship with a girl friend ( he is no longer seeing) affect his grades. He did great in the…

I probably wont be leaving for basic for a while but i have 12 months to do it. When i told my mom about my decesion she fliped!! It was a mix of all kinds o… Continue

I was in the navy for 20 years, and when my daughter told me at the age of 8 -12 years ago that she wanted to join the Navy, I couldn't be more than proud that she wanted to serve her country and in the Navy as her mom did, she was in jrotc and now in as a cadet Annapolis will graduate next year. She is in the top of her class, speaks fluently 7 languages and learning 2 more top on physical fitness, majoring in mathematics and physics. knowing the Navy, she pretty much has her first appointment set :)
