Dear Tina, What a good story. God is faithful to help us moment by moment, even using a scam to brighten our day and hopefully make us a little more wiser for the future. I understand that there are so many sailors that things get backed up but wh...

It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
My name is Jane. I usually go by Janie, thanks to my Dad. I am extremely happily married for 30 years to the most wonderful man, Mark. We have 7 amazing children. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 4 handsome sons. Grady is our first Navy child. We have sent three off to college and we thought that was hard! This is probably the toughest. Grady has made a very courageous decision and is taking after both of his grandfathers who loved the Navy and this country and served 25 years each. We entrust Grady to God to mold and make into a devoted sailor. Finding this group has proven to be a great blessing already.

And now he works in a clinic on base in Silverdale, Wa. But just wanted to say hi, since i haven't in forever. ha

Good evening, Janie. I'm so glad for your posts. I almost did plan to go up and see them this weekend and something told me to wait....maybe it was the impending traffic....I don't know. After reading your post about the test Monday I am so relieved we made it for next weekend. I do not hear from Bobby much lately....the Nuke studies do not come easy for him and he studies very long and hard. I know when he gets downtime he wants to spend time with Elice and some rec time with his computer games....the geek! Thanks for all that good information and take care! May you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!

Hi Janie
I'm glad that they are getting to know each other also! this is so neat... :) . Aaron still hasn't tried a Church there yet, hopefully soon. Aaron seems to be thriving there also - just what he needed to get focused and it seems to be bringing out the best in him.
Have a great weekend with your son and daughter inlaw! I pray that your weather is nice! we have had snow here - heading to Bozeman tomorrow for soccer - my Sister lives in Bozeman so we are going over Friday night and we will have 2 games just outside of Bozeman in Livingston on Sat. We have to come back Sat night because I am going to Las Vegas Sunday morning - I'm going down for a work related conference - get to spend 5 days there!
Yes we have real short summers - sometimes still snowing late June - and then August is usually pretty smoky with fire season.... right now it i cold and rainy - snow off and on - no flowers for us :( I'm looking foward to a few days of warmth in Vegas! It is getting green around here - I love it when everything is green - now just for some sunshine!! :)
Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Janie - was thinking about you - how are you doing? How is Grady liking the classes? Aaron is doing pretty good so far! the tests have been hard, but he is handling them pretty well. I'm ready for some warmer weather! I think we had our 1 day of summer already... sigh :)

Hi Janie. Just wanted to let you know that Matt finally got is phone/laptop today! He called me at work and sounds great. He started class 4/20 and says it's not too bad so far. School all day, study at night. How's Grady doing?

Hello... We are good. She's being transferred to DTP (not sure what it stand for, but means she's doing grunt labor until she heads to school). Supposed to be reclassed next week, so we'll find out soon what job she'll be and when school should start. I continue to trust God to take care of her, as He asked me if i could do. They've told her that she could be waiting around 3-4 months while paperworks gets processed. UGH! I'm praying that God moves that along and hers is the fastest process they've ever encountered! Get her on the way! Although, she's figured out that th elonger she hangs out at GC doing grunt work, the less time she'd ever spend on a ship or in the field. S'pose that's true enough.

And, she seem to be doing a little better. Beginning to accept it and look ahead. That's good. AND paradise is paradise again! So, that helps!

Hi Janie. I probably wasn't clear; he was a Divisional flag bearer. Anyway, Matt called Saturday & loves it there. He did say that he will be rooming with another person eventually; the single aprtment deal was only temporary. However, his package that I mailed w/his cell phone, lap top and other stuff arrived there Monday 4/13, but he still didn't get access to it! It's now Wedesday & I havent' heard from him. He called Saturday from a pay phone w/his phone card. I tracked the mail receipt & it was definitely delivered, so don't know what the problem is...Anyway, he starts classes on Monday 4/20. Glad to hear Grady has his first week under his belt. I know this is all gonna be tough, but it seems like they take care of each other like family in the Navy. Thank God for that. Well, I hope he does well and I'll continue to pray for all of our loved ones. You take care.

Hope I didn't miss a message from you. We weren't sure if we were going to make it to Goose Creek last weekend, after my husband had a scare and was in the hospital. However, the Dr. cleared him for travel and we drove there with the rental truck! What a gorgeous drive! We got all the furniture in our sailor's new home, and it is shaping up to be a really nice first place for him and his fiance.
We will be back there May 22nd, so let us know if you need anything.
Carol
