I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch lately. As you can imagine with all the job hunting and working at the same time, I've been extremely busy. Good news... I have a new job lined up working as an office assitant for a company here in Prescott. I start working there on Monday. Everything has worked out well for me thru all this and I will not have any days without pay because I'm going from one job to another.
I've been wanting to ask you how all the testing went for Jason. Will he still pursue the Seals contract? I hope it all works out the way he wants it to. Billy finished his last C-School on Monday and is now down in southern AZ visiting his dad. He will come up to P.V. this weekend and spend a few days with me before he has to return to San Diego. This will probably be his last trip home for awhile.
There is another Blue Star Moms meeting set for Oct. 6th and I am planning to be there. Do you think you'll be attending this one? When you get a chance, drop me a note and let me know how Jason is doing. Since I'll be starting a new job next week, I'm not certain how often I will get the opportunity to log on. It's possible it may take me a few days to get a response back to you. I do have your phone number and hopefully you still have mine and we can stay in touch that way as well.

It is a small world isn't it? Rita came to the get together I had in August. We didn't get to talk much, but she seemed to be a very nice lady. I added her as a friend on my page.

I can imagine all the emotions you and Jason are going through right now. I'm so excited for him. What an adventure it will be!! I want to give you my cell phone number and personal email address so if you have any questions or feel like talking you can give me a call. I am very interested in attending the Blue Star Moms meeting next Tuesday. Can you tell me what time and where the meeting is held? Do I need special permission to attend? Myself, a co-worker, and her family are all attending a 911 memorial/honoring of the military gathering at the Courthouse here in Prescott tonight. I will be showing my support by wearing my Navy Mom
t-shirt and waiving an American flag. We're really keyed up about going.
Thank you so much for posting a message on my page. It's very nice to meet you. I get thrilled everytime a mom from the Prescott area pops up. Welcome to the site. You will appreciate the site being here especially when Jason leaves for bootcamp. I saw your posting on Stacey's page about the flyer Jason brought home to you. I actually made that flyer and had a bunch printed up and left them with PO Hunt to hand out.
I live in Prescott Valley and work for an Engineering company in Prescott as an office assistant. Yes, I recently hosted a get together for Navy moms and dads. I'm so sorry you didn't know about it sooner. It would have been fun for you had you been able to attend. We had 26 people there!!
Has Jason selected a job to go into for the Navy or is he going down to MEPS to take his ASVAB test and/or physical? My son Billy was just home from San Diego for the Labor Day weekend. He's attending C-School for his rate IC (Interior Communications Electrician). He graduated bootcamp a year ago last week and is now a 3rd Class Petty Officer (IC3). He was actually given 4 C-Schools - all of them were held in San Diego. He's in the final class now which will be completed at the end of this month. Then he will report to his ship a destroyer called the USS Howard also homeported in S.D. I've been really spoiled since he's been there because he's been able to make several trips home during the holiday weekends. However, that will change once he reports to his ship. His opportunites to come home will be less frequent :(
