Try not to worry too much...I know that as a mom that isnt easy. I have worried so much since Sara enlisted...she left her stuff with her 'then b/f' who I knew would ruin her (and he almost did). I had to bail her out financially so she didnt risk her security clearance through debt, but she kept TALKING to the loser and he kept begging her to give him another chance. Fortunately she met Brad, and they started seeing each other as friends...and she got a taste of what a 'healthy' relationship was like. I was happy, but not thrillecd that they decided to marry...I urged them to stay engaged adn wait, but they just felt they might be separated (as it turns out they will be together most the time for the next 3 years)....I had to repeatedly hand it over to God, and I now believe that this IS His plan. Just keep telling her how PROUD you are of the path she has chosen..sometimes I htink they need us to believe in them and that they are capable (even if we really believe otherwise). Keep pointing out the importance in this day and age of a woman having her OWN career and means of support, so that even if it doesnt work out she isnt left stranded...that is my biggest concern as a single mom, myself!

You said that you thought your daughter was in the same ship as Amanda's, the New Jersey. Do you know if they can have food in their rooms? I know some of the ships cannot. I haven't talked to Amanda since she went over to the New Jersey. Just because she saw a refrig in the room, I don't want to assume she can have food. Hoping she will call tonight.

We are only 3 1/2 hrs to GL. Its nice being close to GL so that we can go up and see her more often. I think she is okay with her life. She isn't too happy right now with her new ship. She just called and had just gotten over there and they had a tour of the ship and was told not to expect breakfast and dinners all the time cause of their schedules. I couldn't believe that would be true. She hadn't got to her room yet so didn't know who her roommates where going to be. Said there were going to be five to a room. She said she had a refrig and could have food so I said I would send her a food care package. Has your daughter said anything to you regarding their meal times?

Marie, Amanda is Et. She just called last night and said she was moving into thef New Jersey. I take it she is done with INDOC. Where is Lake Worth, Fl? We have a condo in Venice which we rent out in the winter. I go down usually around Oct or Nov. to check it out. Was wondering how far we were from Lake Worth, Fl.

We talk everyday, at least in texts. She calls every other usually but texts quite a bit during her free time. She won't have as much time come next week to call but can get in a few texts to me. Sounds ike JoAnna is getting settled quite nicely. I know she is enjoying being able to get out and about. Keep me informed on her.

Hi Marie, anymore news from JoAnna?

i am so sorry to hear that, and of course i will pray for JoAnna. Maybe it was the stress and worry of being in FIT and will go down now that she is out. When will you talk to her and find out any news? Are you able to at least talk to her daily? Marie, it is a lot you guys have been through, the one thing to remember is that God never gives you more then you can bear, so try and give your worries to him. Will be praying for you guys. Let me know as you get updates on her.

maybe its the Navy giving her high blood pressure? or being away form home. does she have anyone she can talk it through with. maybe she's having second thoughts. Alot of maybe's i know , but better than thinking the worse! HBP can be controled and can be emotional. i had it after my mother died and 2 of my kids totaled 2 of our cars with in 2 months. i was a basket case but knew it was nerves, within a year i was off all meds. lets hope that's the case. i'll be praying for you both. have a great weekend, remember worry never helps! let go let God!

my daughter had been in for over 2 years, she's an IS and is stationed in the ME.
my other daughter is getting married Oct. 24, 2009(our 28th wedding anniversary) hopping to have the whole family together.
my oldest son is buying his first house, should recieve the keys Sept.22nd. then we start painting and moving them in, it's so exciting, but exhausting, they live 2 hours away. oh, so does my daughter whose getting married, that's a challenge too. LOL
i have one other son, who just had to find another job because of down sizing, just happy he found one!
tell me alittle about yourself.
i'm new to the net so, excuse my mistakes.
