Profile Information

About me:
I'm a mom of three, my son who is 20 had been in the army reserves and is now Active Navy. He will become a QM. I originally had many concerns but the more I learn and being on this site I know this was the right choice for him and I hope that this journey will be a great experience for him. i would like to add an update to this origianal statement it was an emotional roller coaster for all of us but i am happy to say my son is happy and is moving along with a positive attitude its so nice to hear him so focused he has met really good friends and he just seems at peace with the choice he made which in the beginning was touch and go because of so ,many emotional ties to home an his family I think expecially me lol since I can honestly say there is no greater love a mom has with her child. but to see your child happy is the greatest gift anyone can give you and i can say the navy has gifted my son to become the man we had hoped he would be on this joureny in his life!!!!! so moms dads grandma's grandpa's sisters brothers be happy because this is a wonderful thing for our sailors!!!

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to be encouraging to always remind my son that he can acheive anything and to continue to do the best he can possibly do i always tell my son this is your life now go for it the best you can so one day you can look back and say i had not one single regret!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Thanks for letting me know whats happening. Mathew thought he was already home. Mathew got married on the 18th, will be leaving on the 25th...aaggghhhh. So sad now. Anyway, take care, I'll get your email listed and write, you can still stay on this site!

Hello, hello, great to hear from you! :) At least things are moving, I guess. Well, Mathew found out that his wait has been worthwhile. He has top secret security clearance. He is so excited. He said he may be home sometime in August, guess thats part of security clearance procedure. Anyway, he isnt married yet. They are waiting on Norfolk for the wedding, I guess, because things are up in the air. I just cant wait to see him though. At least we know our boys are ok, huh? Well, take care, you and yours are always in my prayers, I think of you often! xoxo

Hi Judy, Its good to hear from you. I can't believe that Joey is still waiting on orders. Hope that's not a bad sign. Ashley waited 2 weeks after she graduated to get orders and everyone around her got orders in the states then the good ol Japan news came in. How is he dealing with the waiting? She is doing ok I guess. As soon as she started feeling comfortable with Japan then she was off to Singapore. I don't even know where she is headed now. She is trying to get used to ship life. She has emailed every day so far. Sounds tired and a bit overwelmed but better off than I would ever be.
Let me know when you hear where Joey is going.

Hi Judy. I saw that Joey graduated on Friday. Did he receive his orders yet? Ashley just got to Japan this past Friday. Wow!! what a feeling of helplessness I have been left with. We are trying desperately to learn how to communicate and adjust to the time difference. Hope all is well with you. Take care and keep in touch.

Hey Judy..just texted Mathew, he said a lot of the guys went out to see sites this weekend. None of them in his class graduated, they are graduating together. He's not sure what Joey was doing, but a lot were leaving the base to go to Chicago. Mathew gets real mad at me for texting him, he just did, but I told him its for his own good, and to deal with it, lol. Joey will text you, maybe his phone is off, or he left it in the room. Judy...I will try and text Mathew today and see whats going on. He and another guy took a train to Chicago yesterday and thats about all he would say. He was excited about being on a train. I'll try again and see whats going on. These boys seem to be trying to grow up a little too fast if you ask me. WE should be first on there list to talk to, lol.
