I dont know that you completely get over the comings and goings or missing them during certain events in your life. But it is what it is. We cry when we see them and cry when they leave. I see my son every 6 months to a year. It really does put an...

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to be patient very patient...and then be even more patient.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

best thing

the navy was the best thing that my sontim could have ever done he was getting involved with the wrong croud lets leave that as that.anyway he met his now wife and they moved away well things werent going to good for them struggling and all so he met a sailor dont know really where but he told him about how he turned his life around thru the navy.so when i got a call from him saying he joined the navy i was scared because tim was never one to take orders.well very nervous i told him i wa proud of him.and off he went.well getting thru bootcamp i think was harder on our nerves then his.but now hes married and doing great.not a day goes by that i dont thank god for the young man who talked my son into joining.tim is now on second deployment and its as hard as the first.

Hello Judy, I wanted to ask if you've been to a homecoming. I am going to go up and am not sure how the car pass will come about. I have asked my son if there is something he can do from his end, but I think I'll just have to get a visitors pass. Any suggestions?

Cory is going to try to come home when they get back, hopefully he gets to cause I can't afford to go there & my daughter is due on Sept. 25. So I can't go very far since I'm her coach.Well take care & hope to hear from you soon.I'll check my spam box more often.

Thank you, Judy. It's nice to connect. This site is not as easy to use as Facebook, but what a great source of information! I see that some (Navy) things have changed since my time in, but many things are still the same. We've begun our countdown until our daughter leaves for Great Lakes in September, so I am using this site to glean important information. It has been terrific. Thanks again for the welcome.
