I'm a Navy wife:) We've been married since May 19th, 2008 & He's been in the Navy since July 27th, 2008. We're about to PCS to Washington State to his first duty station! I'm from Soddy Daisy, Tn & graduated from Sale Creek High School i 2008.

Hey girl sorry it took me so long to write back...how are you? Are you all unpacked by now? WE just moved to Lake Stevens Military Housing here...we love love love it! We will have to get together and hang out some time soon:) I really dont do much except stay home and take care of our 5 months old lil boy:) Anyways well hope all is well with you:) hope to hear from ya soon:)

My son came in on the stennis.....his dad has a video I watched it and it is good, might have some family on it tho. ( i was there but with my grandaughter waiting in a different area....I will friend you and PM me with your address(snail mail), I will ask him to make a copy....yippee!!!

Hey girl...well I bet you are busy with packing and getting everything ready for your big move! I am from florida soo this is a big change for me...dont worry about bringing sun screen and sun glasses lol...it seems to rain all the time here in seattle and then some .....but when the sun does want to come out and play it is beautiful! So what ship is your hubby going to be on? My shawn is on the USS DAVIS...they are on their way back from a long deployment! They have been gone since october...ugh...but will be home here shortly:) Anyways are you going to be living in military housing? I live over in Ft Lawton military housing and it is very nice:) You should look into it. I know we are all moving to lake stevens later in the year but its somewhere and their is availability:) Anyways good luck with the move and if you need anything just let me know:) We will have to get together when you get here....maybe I can show you some of our fun places to go. I definitely can take you to a few good coffee places if you like coffee:)

I get paid washington states minimum wage. and its really nice because unlike in NY they dont have any state taxes. so its nice to get most of what you earned.

They have open employment so all you need to do is go to your NEX and fill out an application c: its really not that bad at all. The ladies that I work with are all awful nice too.

No, we dont live in base housing. We have a house about 10 minutes from base which is really nice because we also have a dog so she loves that we have a giant yard she can run around in. I work at the NEX on base and I like it. Do you know when his first deployment is going to be?

I'm glad your excited and i'm sure you'll love it here. its gorgeous! If you're stationed at everett, thats really close to seattle so i'm sure you'll be able to find lots to do here. My husband's stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, so we're not too far away from you. c: I hope everything goes well with your move!!!

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
