When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
You have to learn to let go, no matter how hard it is. I am learning---Can't say I like it though......But, I am learning......

Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

The Days Of Him Being Home Are Numbered......How Can I Say Goodbye Again???

Boy you would think I would be getting better at this but, I feel those same emotions creeping up again. I said goodbye to Brandon the end of June when he left for Boot Camp. Hello again when we attended PIR the end of August. Goodbye again when we headed home to Nebraska and he went off to A-School in Pensacola. Hello once more the first part of December as I picked him up at the airport in Denver. Its getting so close to the 26th when I will yet say those words and watch as my son heads for hi… Continue

HE IS GOING TO SLEEP IN HIS OWN BED FRIDAY NIGHT

I get to go pick up Brandon on friday and we have him home for 20 days. OMG...... What a Christmas this will be. I know that we better enjoy it, as I am sure it might be a few years before we are all home for Christmas again. I am so excited to have my son right here with us, but my thoughts and prayers are with those familys who can't be together. My heart goes out to the young children who won't have their daddys home for Christmas or the babies who have yet to meet their daddys. God Bless You… Continue

24 hours until I get outta here

OMG a little over 24 hours and I am gonna be on the road. It was so nice to talk to Brandon yesterday. Three calls. First one was to get information he needed for A-school (he is now going to Pensacola) He's jazzed about that, no winter in Great Lakes. We got to talk about 20 minutes. He said he hoped he got back across base to make the call with his division. A few minutes later he called back for another address he needed. We got to talk another 10 minutes. Then he told me that by the time he… Continue

Hi Kimmy,
My sister called me last night and told me what happened. I am sooo sorry. Your boys and you have really been in my thoughts and prayers ever since. Are Brandon & Cameron dealing with it ok? That's kind of a stupid question I guess-how do you deal with that?
You have my number-you can call me anytime. Please let me know if you need anything.

Hello Kimmy,

I know that I don't know you or your family yet but I did wanttosend out my deepest sympathies. We are a new family to the Davis and I just wanted you to know that you all are in our prayers. Please let your son know that my husband BMC Webb is a good listener and if he needs him when he gets back to please go and talk to him. Again I am very sorry.

HI Kimmy, just saw your post over at RMD. Sorry to hear about your loss, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Will Brandon be able to leave the ship and go home for the funeral? We just got word this morning that my husband's older sister just passed away this morning. She had been ill for quite a few years so it was just a matter of time. My hubby's bro-in-law will have her cremated and have small memorial service for her over their way which is Florida. Their boys live in the Indiana area and my husband is now the only one left from his immediate family. I just emailed KC and told him about his Aunt Judy. I'm here too if you need me.

HI Kimmy, How are you doing? Have you heard from your son this past week? I see your going to make it up for the homecoming, that's great! I'll be seeing KC down in SD and he'll take his leave from there. I finally sent KC's birthday pkg off along with a jumbo card this past Friday. Hoping it arrives much sooner than two months. Did Brandon receive his b/day box yet? Hope all is well your way, take care, Karen.

When was Brandon's Birthday? I hope it was good. Do you hear from him much? How are YOU doing with the deployment? I hear from Jason quite a bit, but still freak slightly when I don't. How much snow there? None here-Ha Ha. Talk to you soon.
