hi, does anyone have a sailor who is a corpsmen in Lamoore Ca. My son just got there today. he will be stationed there for 3 years in the naval hospital. i would love to hear from anyone.

Hi Kristy, I'm not sure who he went through to get it all straightened out, but next time I talk to him I'll ask.....he's hoping to call home this weekend. (He still needs to get his cell phone set up) I do think if you can get a copy of his original contract from the recruiter that will help tremendously. We've learned that with the Navy you should always get EVERYTHING in writing and keep copies handy!!

Hey Kristy, he had his original contract that he signed, as part of his job position he was guaranteed to graduate Boot Camp as an E2, then while he was in Boot Camp he was chosen for Ship Staff and his performance on Ship Staff merited another rate increase so his RDC Advanced him to E3 - but they missed the first increase so he had to produce his contract to confirm it and they had to validate everything, etc. Does Damon have his contract?? If it was in his contract then he can everything straightened out. It'll be much harder if its not in the contract. Good luck!

Tom ran into Damon at the NEX, he hung out with him for a little bit, he also said he went to Chicago with him and 10 sailors the Monday after PIR, its nice to see them hanging out.

Tom is in GL until june or july.. Hope all is well tell your HUBBY I said hi, he is a good guy.. It was great hanging out with him at PIR.... talk to you soon

Hi Kristy, We did not receive any phone calls on Christmas.....we were truly hoping. We are staying at the Navy Lodge too. My husband, my mother-in-law and my son's girlfriend.... We fly out Wednesday Jan 14 and return on Sunday. Dog is doing great! thanks for asking
