W-2's and other information is available from mypay.dfas.mil. You need the ID and pin number to get to the W-2. Your sailor can provide this to you so you can print his W-2 if the other information for his taxes is sent to your home. Navy Federal 1099's are also available online, but not until February. My son wanted me to be able to take care of such matters, so he signed a power of attorney before he left for BC that let me sign his tax return, among other things. I know powers of attorney can be prepared and executed on base.

Thank you the prayers are much needed and appreciated. So far so good. I figure if I get to tomorrow night without the "I've been asmo'd" call that he passed the running and then I can look forward to a call after battlestations that he is a sailor!

We got a call last Saturday and that's when he told me he was concerned that he wouldn't pass his final run.

Then a Sailor he will be. Girl's will come and go from their lives but mom's are there forever. You know your son the best and I for one think you do not have to take a backseat to any girl. It is about respect and doing what is right. I am glad you will be with all of us at the NL.

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings.

LInda, I think you should rebook your hotel to the NL. Seriously. Then your son only has to go to one place to see you and his GF. Alot of us are staying there. It will all be good.
