I would think that since they are in differnt branches of the military that they will both need to speak to the housing department to find out exactly how it works. Maybe Hoppi can help with this. She actually works for the Navy and has a world of...

Our 21 year old son just left for the Navy yesterday (7/31/08). I already miss him terribly! Mother and grandmother of 6.

Gratitude

I am so thankful to have a place to come to laugh and cry with others that are so understanding. No one else realizes the emotions involved in sending your child (although he is 21 lol) to the military. If it had not been for Navyformoms.com I don't know if I would have gotten through it so well.

Exhausted....:(

I am wore to the core. My dear daughter and I helped my best friend move today. I swore I was not helping her. She moved to the next county over and I hate it! She is more like my sister and I hate that she is not close now. It was a good move for her family but not for me. I know I am being selfish but I don't care. LOL I gave in and helped today and I think I used muscles I never knew I had. I would gladly pay someone a kings ransom for a massage!

Famous last words! I'm in shock!

I guess the upside to all of this is that there is always tomorrow. Hope everyone else had a good weekend and you all heard from your Recruits! :)

This weekend sucked like pancakes without syrup!

All weekend long I waited for his call. When he called the other day he said that he would be able to call home for an hour either Sat or Sun. so I walked around with the phone glued to my side and nothing.
This weekend sucked anyway and that just topped it! I am having a pitty party so if anyone wants to bring a covered dish or margaritas then please do. lol

Yeah! You're back and he's official. Wasn't it amazing. Hey, Joe is in Pensacola too!! What's chris in school for? Did I ever ask you? Joe is actually stationed there now - all done with school and working hard. I got to talk to him on the webcam last Friday. It was great. Seeing him helped so much and at the same time made me miss him more.

Well, I'm glad you're back. Your are almost a seasoned veteran Navy Mom now. LOL

Tyler is 19 years old and just graduated this past June from Connersville High. He will PIR 10/10 and then I think he will be going to San Antonio for A school For Master At Arms. I was told in civilian language that is a cop. So we have a policeman and a fireman here :) I am so proud of all our sailors. My mom, 2 of my daughters and 4 of my grandkids still live in Connersville. I get down in that area about once a month. Good luck to you and your sailor. Please keep in touch.

Lori, I am familiar with the area you are from. I lived most of my life in Connersville. I moved to New Palestine about 7 years ago. My son will PIR in 2 weeks and then A school for MAA. What is your son doing?

Lori: Any chance you can make the N4Ms to march in the Columbus Day Parade on October 13th. We will have a float and the Grand Marshal is ret. Admiral Edmund P. Giambastiani, Jr. Former Vice Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (big name in Navy subs). Please consider it. Navy for Moms Admin, Catherine has posted an event for responses. Please, please.
