Love those photos! ( Laughed so hard on some of them, tears were starting to flow! : ) ) I just read your post on Nov Group and wanted to tell you to hang in there. Girl, you have it bad!!! How sweet are you, making his favorite dish and missing his loving comments... Always remember this is just a little blip in your journey as soulmates and it will pass and you and Justin will be given opportuinites with the military that you may have never been able to experience. He is forging a future for you both and I am sure he knows what a great gal he's got waiting for him at home. Keep you head up, K?

awesome!!! i'm glad you are getting letters so frequently! whoohoo! my husband works on C-2a Greyhounds. There is only 2 squadrons that work on these planes. one is in norfolk and the other is in san diego. i know that my husband's squadron is very short handed so there might be a order available for his squadron. my husband worked really hard to be able to pick his orders first. he got honorary recruit in bc, and he was first in his class in a and c school. the am s picked orders based on what his class grade he had while he was in a school. so if he studies hard and gets all of his work done and gets good grades, depending on what grade he has in the class, he can get a lot of orders to chose from. my husbands had the highest grade out of 3 classes so he got to pick from 100 orders first. he based his choice on the plane first, then location. he had an option to go to the san diego squadron for his plane, but chose to do norfolk because it was closer for me to see my sister in north carolina especially when he goes on deployments. i have been reading a lot lately that there is another hold in pcola for a school so don't be surprised if it will be a little bit before he starts a school. so between now and then, make sure you guys really talk about possible options that you guys would both like. there is really no way of tell what the squadron that he picks will be like unless you have heard from someone else and their personal experience. i know that travis loves his squadron and his job so hopefully you and justin like whatever you guys will encounter! :)

yay for mail and phone calls! whoohoo! no he hasn't gone on deployment yet, but he is going in january or february. it is extremely hard to to avoid deployment. you have to pretty much go into knowing that he is going to get deployed. if you get shore duty instead of sea duty then the deployments are shorter. i know that my husband's squadron is one of the few that get to bring a phone and a laptop with them on deployment. and they are spoiled and stay in hotels instead of the ship while on deployment. but pickin his dream sheet is up to him. the only purpose for the dream sheet is that for some reason, if he wasn't able to pick his orders himself then the class instructor would pick orders for him based on his dream sheet. but he picks his orders based on what's available and there is a strong possibility that what he wants wont be on there. it's probably news you didn't want to hear, but unfortunatly its the sad truth. good luck hunny! hopefully your doing ok! :)
