Hi, I see you have joined San Antonio MA's. Master at Arms is a rating very dear to my heart since my Sailor was an MA. The discussion, Break down week by week, within San Antonio MA's will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio). You will also want to join MAA Moms. Other groups to check out are New MAA Mom's (it has not been very active) and Security Sailors (it is not very active and includes loved ones of Sailors from other ratings as well).
Divisions 169 and 170 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.
We ask that our members not use a last name in their Username - even if it differs from their Sailor's - so please head to “Settings” on the main page as soon as possible to create a new Username, then add a profile image and complete your Profile. You will also need to change the URL that is associated with your profile since it also includes your last name. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.
Then jump right in! Browse around the site and check out the groups and their Discussion Forums Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.
