Thannksgiving and Christmas after PIR

My grandaughter graduates on Sep.25 YEA!!!! We won't get to go:( She will be going to A school there in GL will she get to come home for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

- navy nanny, i was wondering if your granddaughter did indeed come home for Christmas? My son is in BC until Oct 16th than off to GL A school too. I have never been with him on Holidays.

Mary, Proud Mom of Nick said… - Advance Computers? Sounds like she might be an ET or FC which is part of the AECF group that I started on this site almost two years ago. Our son is an FC and I bet she is part of that group. Next time you hear from her - ask if she will be an ET or FC.
For Christmas - there is no mileage restriction, they have to take leave as schools close for the holiday so no matter if it's 500 miles or 5000 miles they will use their leave time during the holidays to go home.

- What A school is your granddaughter going to in GReat Lakes? Don't look for her to come home at Thanksgiving as they don't usually allow them to take leave during school EXCEPT at Christmas. The schools go on stand down at Christmas time. Last year our son got leave from Dec. 19th - Jan. 4th, haven't heard the exact dates yet for this Christmas.
