going to boot camp

My son leaves for boot camp on June11th. Although I am very proud of the decission he has made, I can't help it to be a little sad at the same time. I don't dare share those feelings with him though. You see my son is very much a mamma's boy and very proud to admit it, I did tell him he may want to keep that to him self in bootcamp.

Sandra, Sorry I haven't written back-very busy and don't get here too often. Recieved a short note last week and he sounded ok. Still not many details and i really do not know how he is progressing. He was worried about his run time still a little off. I do hope and pray he passes everything. I find it odd that his division does not seem to be getting many phone calls. I am so loking forward to 8/7!!!! How about you? Any word on how things are going? Take care. Mattsmom/Brenda

Hi Sandra. I knew what you meant without you saying a word....Mom/son...same difference! Im sorry I have not stopped in to say 'hi' earlier. As a clinical RN director of a Hospice, I dont get a lot of free time, and since Im single, I find myself spending way too much time in office (often until after 8pm)..esp. now that Clint is gone. Just too weird having a totally empty house.... Pretty soon Im going to have to get online here and figure out where to stay and all that for PIR!!!

Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!! We reached 500 members on February 12, 2009.

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He is now stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia.
