Profile Information

About me:
I am a very Proud Navy Mom
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My Son is the 4th generation Navy. I was a single Mom to my Son and he is my only child. We share a bond that I can not describe and we are very close. I did not want to let him go, but I had to come to the realization that this is what he wanted to do and I had to let him go. I miss him so much that I have no words to express it, but I know he is doing just what he set out to do. In just one year of him being in the Navy and at his young age of just 19, he has done things and is doing things that most 19 year olds will never be able to say that they have done or ever will be able to say they have ever done. I myself, our family and our friends of the family as well as his own peers all we can do is stand back and say Wow!!!! My Son had said to me "Mom I think I was born to do this" and as his Mom, I would have to agree with him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Adam had a getting ready to leave meeting with the area Chief yesterday so guess he is really getting ready to leave. How fast time seems to be moving as he gets ready to leave. He is still swimming and running everyday so he should be in pretty good shape when he leaves. He seems to growing upalready. He sit and talks more now more then ever it is amazing to share his dreams and fears. Well back to work. Have a great day. talk to you soon

God bless you. I'll pray that you continue to feel lost (saw a comment on emptynesters). Lost is a great way to describe our getting through each day that our kids grow up without us. If we didn't feel lost, then something would really be wrong with us! Take care.

Hi, again, Sandy. What TEAM is your son with, and how long has he been overseas? I find this fascinating.

click to create your own Hi my friend, Glad to hear from you. It is sad that moms and dads don't relieze that what they say on blogs can affect the safety of there kids. I try to watch what I say on here and Facebook. I want to post pic's of Alexis but wonder if it will harm her. I'm so proud of her and want to share it with other mothers, but if it will cause her trouble I will get off of them. I is not worth it to me at all. That is why I posted the blog about watch what you say. I hope it helps a little. Its just really sad that freedom of speech can harm our kids. Will I got to get busy around here, just wanted to touch base with you. I will drop you a line later. luv ya your friend Pam (Alexis step-mom)

Hi Sandy, Glad to hear you get to spend some time with your sailor. The hug and kiss, I think we all will do that from time to time. Give him a big hug and kiss as many times as you can before he has to go back. I'm glad you liked the stick people, another friend showed me them I think they are so cute. Glad you found how to get your own. I like your page too. You have a great day and be safe. Have a good time with your sailor. luv ya your friend Pam (Alexis step-mom)
