Scott, we haven't heard anything from you in a few weeks. How is everything going? Any headway on Megan's case? Has the Navy made any decisions yet? Have you gone back up to see her? Let us know, okay?

Hey Scott--after seeing your picture, I remember seeing you at PIR. Was your wife in Division 912? My son, Jon MIchael was in 912--he was a trumpet player. The situation with your wife really is raw--Michael's girl friend is currently still in Navy BC and her first two weeks, she was (literally) deathly ill. They had removed all 4 wisdom teeth, and another molar, gave her some pain medication, to which she had a severa allergic reaction. They switched her pain med and she had an allergic reaction to that one as well. By this time she had lost a tremendous amount of blood and was puking up blood. Her blood pressure botttomed out to 50/40 and she was hospitalized. On top of that, she was pushed down by a male shipmate and they thought she had torn her ACL. As it turned out, after the MRI, her ACL was not torn, but severely strained, so they put her in a cast. She has had a miserable time. Point of story is, they were going to medically discharge her, but changed their mind, at some point, so DON'T GIVE UP!!! Hang in there and fight for it--they (Navy) would expect no less from Megan!! You and Megan are in my prayers. Ask Megan if she knows/remembers Jon Michael from 912.

Thanks for the update, lots of us have been wondering and concerned. I've never had kidney stones, I know they range in severity and frequency of attacks, so if they do release her she can perhaps get this taken care of and under control and then just jump back in as you said. I just think the Navy, or any service, won't go too far out on a limb for someone barely onto active duty, but they will for someone further into their contract. Please let us know what they decide and I wish your family the best no matter what. (But I am crossing my fingers for her to stay in.)

Scott, Any updates on Megan? I was in Goose Creek over the weekend and a some of the former 912 Division guys and gals were wondering when she is coming. I hope everything is okay and its just the red tape of waiting. They start a new class once a week, so she can jump right in when she gets there.

Scott, if you are planning on going back to the Exchange, I would love to have one of the Navy Mom's coins. I will be at the meet and greet so we can catch up there on Thursday. Thanks for offering to do that - it was very thoughtful!!

If you have already gone, and don't have time, that's ok. We may find something similar in Great Lakes :)

Even though my son Jake is being sent home (type II diabetes) I've still been keeping up with you guys until PIR. I'm so happy for all you guys. I did not realize you are in Jacksonville, your only about 2 hours east of us. My daughter went to Coastal Community for hygiene school. If there's anything we can do to help you, let me know. We not that far from you. Good Luck!
