Leaving in January for Japan

We found out after graduation on 11-25-09 that our son leaves for Japan the end of the January for 3 years on the George Washington, SO FAR AWAY!!!!!. I guess it is better than going to Iraq or Pakistan, but for 3 years. It is so hard to say good bye. :(

He does leave on 12-8-09 for Peniscola for A school. His job is still undetermined. I am wondering if because he is undesignated that that is why he is going to Japan!!

Anyone have any thoughts??????? Suggestions for good communication while a… Continue

Hi Chris,

Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. You should be getting his box any day I would think. I hear the contact info comes separately in a form letter. The emotional roller coaster is what is throwing me for a loop right now. But this site and women like you have been what is getting me through. I hope you find as much comfort here as I have been.

Hugs to you!
