Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Officer
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
pray! write lots of letters, always be there for them. Its hard, you have to be strong for them,
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Prayer for those in the armed forces of our country

Almighty God, We commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them by day with your heavenly grace, strengthen them in there trials and temptations, give them courage to face the perils which beset them, grant them a sense of your abiding peace wherever they may be.Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen

Yes, we had some pretty rough weather.
Tom seems to be feeling better today.

I know how excited you are to have most of your family together.I know that hearing good news from Chris would make up for not having them home. Let's pray that an answer comes soon. I'm sure the waiting is brutal. Is Chris just continuing on with his daily assignment, just like nothing has happened? How hard that must be for all of you.
Tom is a little better. Still weak and not eating much. Saw the ENT today. He basically said to keep quiet and hope that the bleeding doesn't start up again. How great is that. HE tried to scope Tom's nose but wasn't very successful. IT was very painful to Tom, and the Doc wasn't very patient with him.I'm going back to work tomorrow. If the bleeding starts again, we are to go back to the ER, and tell them to call in an ENT.He will have to have surgery again to cauterize the artery in his nose.

Hey Shelly,

Yes, time does whiz right on by doesn't?! lol So Cassie will be promoted to a LTJG, I think they call it Lieutenant Jr. Grade. That is so great to hear!! Did Cassie commission in '06? PJ just commissioned last year so she has over a year before she promotes to LTJG. Wow, Cassie travels all the time--is she on a carrier? PJ went on a VERY short trip from Norfolk (where she's stationed) to New Orleans for Mardi Gras! The life these kids lead! My son did get an acceptance to NAPS this year. Praise God. So hopefully he'll survive and go on to the academy next summer. So glad to hear that your family is well and thriving. I'll keep them in my prayers. blessings

Hi Shelly,

Just dropped by to ask how your son Chris and your daughter Cassie are doing? I know we haven't chatted in a long time so I hope that all is well. My daughter is doing well in Norfolk though she hasn't been on a deployment yet and we're inching up on her first year of service as an ensign. Don't know if that normal but I'm glad she's safe. blessings

Hi Shelly, the electric came back on and then was off today, there are still l9,000 people without electric in arkansas, Thank you for
the prayers and thoughts I can really use them, my neighbor cut down the tree limbs and i have to pick them all up and carry to the front of my uncles house i do not have a wheel barrel so i am going to take a old sheet and put some in there they are heavy, and pull them that way my neighbor took wood from the big tree that came uprooted from the ground and fell down thanks for your prayers and thoughts, i dont feel well caught a cold from being in the shelter, lots of children were ill, it reminds me when i first started to teach i got colds all the time until i went to the health food store and got some echinecia and gold seal...on two off two
it built the immume system up....lynn
