Karol, I had my son's pickup shipped formCA to FL. It was a little over $1,000- like $1,035. I found the transport companies on line, just search "auto transports". There will be a page that pops up asks general questions, and they'll send you about…

I am envious of you seeing James. Mike would not stop and see us before he left. My B-day is one month from James on 12-27. Mike was pretty tired of FL by time he left also. James will then be in for some cool weather in VA. Have you seen the KIndles? On Amazon the 6" is only $299.00. I am borrowing my brother in laws when I go to Hawaii. It is so cool if you use the headset it reads to you. How awesome is that! Then all he has to do is order them over the net. They also have various books that are free or even 99 cents.

Hey Sheri sorry I called your son Wes. I knew it is James. I saw him after BC and Mike also new I was talking to you from James. Are you going to FL for A school grad? I wanted to go but Mike said no, I think his Dad was going. Oh well. I have my best friend who is moving out to Maryland as her husband got a new job there working at a Navy base. James will go from sunny warm FL to cool, cold east cost. Have a blessed week.

Hi Sheri, That is funny that all this time and now put the name with the Mom. Was Wes in A School a long time or he started late? He is lucky staying in the states. My sailor is on the GW, he left in June and have not heard from him. I guess it is harder since I got used to talking with him while he was in A school. Sailor's Dad got two phone calls but did not say much. I don't know if I got a good address or not for him but the cards are only going one way. Sure wish I could ask him all the the questions I have but I guess its time he wants to be alone so he can grow. I am headed to Hawaii on Wednesday and can't wait.

Hi Sheri, My sailor has been in for 5 years but it would be fun to talk with other Moms in my hometown. I belong to the No Ca Navy Moms group as well but have not attended any events. Take care...Anne

Hey Sheri! Thank you for all your kind words. Wes is really looking forward to going to the RR. We are also excited for him. I had hoped he would get NAS Corpus Christi. That is about 10-15min from my house. He had that on his dream sheet also. That was probably a shot in the dark though. At least SD weather will be a little closer to Texas. Not too cold for him. Take Care.....ttyl

Hi Sheri..aka sister dispatcher
I actually work for Marin County SO, heading in tonight for a shift. It looks like was a month behind your son, his PIR date was 4/24. He didn't start A school until July 6th, he was told he could be at Pensacola for up to 9 months, glad things worked out that he was able to start sooner. Kyle is determined to test for SWCC and has been since day 1, we'll see. He's been training like a mad man, sometimes I wonder who is this kid :) I'll definately shoot you an email, here's mine too JoriLo5@sonic.net.

Good Morning Sheri, Were you really up at 3:00? I'll have to ask Steven what barracks he is in and if he has seen the truck. Sounds like he can't miss it...lol Stevens PIR was 6/19 he arrived in p-cola 6/23, he has not classed up yet...I'm learning the lingo. He to thrives on the pt, Friday I guess they worked them pretty hard (his words were they beat the crap out of them...He loved it) they did most of the pt in the sand. He has mention several of the air crew are trying for seals. It will be interesting to see if our boys have been, your right they seem to have the same goals. Take with you soon

Hi Sheri, How have you been. I have not been on in so long and if I am on it's just to read what is going on. I have not heard from Mike since in left in June. It breaks my heart. I know he is fine but still. He went to Japan. So I have no email or physical address. Even though it's only been around a month it sure seems longer. He talked to his Dad, which was nice of him to let me know. So I know he is fine. My back is doing great, I went for decompression, which is stretching of the back. Feel like a million bucks. Well worth it. I have two more weeks left. Then off on vacation at the lake. It's amazing on how many people will pass through their lives in such a short period of time. Mike said he only knew one other person when he reached Japan. They seem to make friends quickly. How is James doing and where is he stationed?

Hello again, I need to check my page more, I'm still learning how to do this. Steven's long term plans are the seals. He qualified before boot camp but wanted to get stronger so right now his contract if for Air Rescue Swimmer. His plan was to change his contract in BC. But like many was sick through most of boot camp and unfortunately missed the finally qualifying pt for seals. He has been told he can start submitting his packet in 3 to 6 months in hopes that ARS will release him from his contact. He just has to be persistent.
Thank you for the info on shipping. We are going to hold off on shipping right now not knowing how long he will be in p-cola. Have a great rest of the weekend....
