WHAT?.....my Kevin went home that night but had duty the next day...he will be home this afternoon..temporary pass?..what is that?..I thought all the guys that don't have duty go to get off the boat and go home..or the barricks...Yea..my Kevin said your Kevin was very quiet and tall..my Kevin is 6'4''...I thought he was tall..How tall is your son?..
Well I am so happy that they are home..did your Kevin ever get your emails?...It is not to late..they would still be in his email box under his address..ask him...

Hello Sheryl..

I got a call late last nignt from my Kevin..Yes our Kevin's are together in the same division but we already knew that..My Kevin said that your Kevin is a very quite person and hardly speaks..They got along well....
We won't even think about him not passing his test..he has a long time before the test..I think that they have about a year to take and pass the test...If he dosen't pass I think that they even have more time but it is a hard time on the guys...I think that he will have the crummy duties like kitchen duty until he becomes a full MT..I wish him all the luck and I know that he will make it..I do know that the studying for MT is very intensive but the rewards are well over the top...

Well have a nice week end...

Good morning Sheryl....

TODAY!!!!!!!!......I found out late last night....I don't know when but sometime today..I just called my Kevin's cell and leaft a welcome home message...
When they arrive...they won't be going on another patrol for about a year...as soon as the blue crew gets back in the boat is going into dry dock for about a year.....

Hi Sheryl..
Nothing yet but...Mandy says real soon..I think any time...they are letting a bus down by the port again this time..Mandy and her mom are going. It is so nice and exciting...Kevin has gotten to stand on the top of the sub when it comes in..I hope that your Kevin gets to as well..what an exciting memory..just imagine standing on top of the sub while it is moving..

I know the guys will have a lot to talk about..

Hi there Sheryl...yes it was hard when Kevin got married..I guess it was because I wasn't #1 woman in his life anymore..it is still hard..I will say something to my daughter-in-law and her answer will be more like "it is my business to take care of that now"..She is a God send though..I don't have any worries about the miles we are apart and I know that he is well taken care of...He has a family there now and is not alone on the holidays..Mandy's family is a wonderful family for him..It is one that all mothers pray for their son's..they love him as much as we love Mandy...

I am still in the dark about arrival but am assured that it is very very close...I am thinking around the 1st of March...just a guess but, Mandy isn't allowed to say and I will trust her word..I have decided not to get in touch with the ombusman for the boat because I don't want to hurt Mandy's feelings..I count on her for all information about Kevin...

I am happy that all is going well with you...the baby has been home from the hospital now for a week and is doing great..no more oxygen intake counts to be concerned about..all is normal..Thank God!!!!...

Well take it easy and ask your Kevin about my Kevin and I will do the same..I do hope that they have gotten to know each other..especially if they are going to work together and with my Kevin being a senior to your Kevin..your Kevin will do just fine..My Kevin is a good man.....

Good morning Sheryl...I did some research and got a responce from a lady that knows about Ombudsman information...they are the people that know first hand what is happening with the subs...please read the info that she sent me..it pertains to you as well..I hope that this helps a little to ease your mind about information that I don't have about our son's....

How are you doing?..things here are going well...Matthew is home on emergency leave to help with the new baby....she is responding well to the breathing treatments so is on her way to being healthy again..

Take it easy..I hear that the email is down again..perhaps you can get a message to your Kevin through the Ombudsman...she is the contact that I told you about a while back...

Hi Sheryl....
Hope that you are sitting down.....The sub has passed it's half/way day..Yep..Jan 30th I believe..they should be home sometime around the first of March....Iam hoping sooner but maybe later..just be assured that half/way has passed...

It seems to go fast when you think about it..Do you want the tree lady's phone number?..she has all the information to pass along..I just get it from my Daughter-in-law..she gets her information from the tree lady...

How funny..I was just thinking about you this morning..
I haven't heard anything about my Kevin..I guess that is good news right?..
I haven't talked to Mandy lately so don't know if she has heard anything about a return yet...
Just keep the emails going and maybe he is getting them..at least there is an address for him to get them...I hope that he knows about the email address..I am sure that he does but maybe doesn't know that you know his address..that would be wonderful if he was checking and getting them..
Things here are going well..what type of dance do you do?..I have 2 left feet but really like ballroom dancing..
Will talk to you again soon..

Take care..the baby is doing well and big sister just loves her..that is good..we once had a friend that when she brought home the new baby the other child tried to hurt him..

Hi there...Thank you for your comment...yes..the baby is really sweet..she is sooooo adorable. The baby's name is Caliana Kenadie (Kennedy) Matison (Madison)....

Oh Sheryl...guess what..the sub emerged somewhere and there were 7 sailors that were choosen to get off the sub..my Kevin was one of them..I don't know from where but he called me and I missed the call..I was with my daughter at the hospital with the new baby...His wife did get her call and told me all about it...He didn't leave a message so I didn't get to hear his voice...

My daughter-in-law did tell me that they are not getting any more emails for some reason..My guess would be because they need to get their business done and get home as the other team needs to go out straight away and finish up some things..maybe they will be home sooner then we all are thinking..who knows...You can still email it is just that they can't email back...

How are you holding up?..We are all doing well..the new baby arrived on the 15th @ 1:13 am...She is just beautiful..19" and 8lbs 10.5oz..she did have a bit of a problem at first but is doing well now..My other sailor from San Diego (the baby's daddy) was home on leave thankfully...
