Good Morning Sue!
Thank you for sharing with me your son's story. This site has been a wonderful place and the people on here are just fantastic! Its nice to see the parents all pulling together for all the kids and families in the service! While the whole idea of "war" scares the beejeebies outta me, I want what's best for my son. He has wanted this since the 5th grade and I am just happy that he is fulfilling his own dreams for once. I can't wait to see what kind of man he will become!
We were just up in Springfield last weekend for the Big E... All that walking just about killed my back, but it was so much fun! All that history!!!
I have a few close friends that live in Mass, one in Boston and one in Ashley Falls. I try to get up there to see them at least once a year, I should try for more, its not that far from here, but work and all doesn't allow me as much time as I would like. A shame really, seeing as how its only a matter of about an hour and a half to one and maybe 3 hours tops to the other! I know, shame on me!!
Well, I should stop bending your ear and get ready for work now. I'm so glad to meet you!!
Have a great and beautiful day!!

Dear Sue,
How are you doing today? I'm doing good.
That's so nice, your son's not that far from you. My daughter Kim is in Viriginia.
While her ship was docked for 6 months, she got bored and bought a car. I love when she's home, but my heart is in my throat every time she does that 7 hour car ride. I always say, it's too bad she's not some where in New England, that would give me a good excuse to go up there! HAHA!

Last October , my older daughter, my Goddaughter and I went to Salem, MA. She drove, I went by train. What beautiful foliage I saw. I saw a town, I think it may have been Rhonde Island, what an adorable little town. A few houses and the church, just like a Christmas picture, perfect.

I wanted to go to Plymouth, MA, last June, but hopefully next year. It was 30 years that my husband and I know one another, so I wanted to go for a long weekend. We couldn't do this year, the money was tight.

I've been to Falls Rivers, not crazy about there, the drivers are nuts!! HAHA!
Other wise, the few other places I've been to in Massachuttes, are just beautiful!! I would just love to move there someday. My husband wants to move to Pennsylvania. I have my doubts we're going anywhere! UGH!

It's nice to dream though! HAHA!

What does your son do in the Navy?
My Kim is an Operational Specialist, she reads the radar. She's not happy with her job. I can't blame her, it's boring staring at a screen. So, she plans to request to go back to A School to learn something else, when she hits 2 years.

Let me get going. I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Sue,
How are you doing today? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
How's my favortie state, Massachuttes doing? I love your state!! HAHA!! My daughters and I used to take road trips up there.

Where is your son now in the Navy?
If he's in Boot Camp, how many weeks now?

My daughter Kim is on the USS Normandy in Virginia. So far, she loves it.

I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
