Hi Erik! It really depends... there's no clear cut answer to that question. If you're Grad and Go (and if you are, the whole division is Grad and Go), you'll only have a few hours. If you stay in Great Lakes for A school, you may be able to actually have overnight liberty with your family, after moving your stuff across the street to A school. Then of course, you may have watch, too, and have to be back for that. I can only tell you about my son - after PIR, we had until 8 pm that Fri evening. He had watch from 3am to 7 am. Then we picked him up at 9 the next morning and we had him until 8 pm on Saturday. Sunday we were all leaving (as was he) His dad was able to see him at the airport and gave him his cell phone and laptop there.

Thank you for your service to our country! And best of luck to you in your naval career!

Welcome aboard!!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
