Temporary group to coordinate our efforts to bring Holiday Cheer to the crew of the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. Ships included in the CSG are: USS Nimitz including 8 air wings, USS Sampson, USS CHOSIN, USS Pinckney, & the USS Rentz.

i am the mother of four and grandmother of three. my only boy joined the navy and now i am trying to find out all i can as i have never had anyone close to me in the military.

I am so sorry I am getting back to you so late. I had company for a week and now am on vacation. I check in here and there though. If know one has told you already to get on the RR site go onto the USS Ronald Reagan website and they will prompt you as to how to send your request to get on the family site. It does take awhile. They say only a few days, well it can be like a few months. Your sailor has to approve you also so he has to be aware that you want access to the site. After that is all cleared they will email you with your password and access code. Be patient! In the meantime if you need more info I can give you my email and I can fill you in on some specifics. I am really careful with that though, but we cannot discuss really anything about the ship other than they are deployed right now on this site or Facebook, Twitter and any other thing. You will get used to that too! Just get back to me if you have any other questions or if I can be of any more help. I admit after 1 1/2 years I am still learning myself and I do love that about this site!

Hi Suzie Q... Corey is a Machinist Mate Fireman Apprentice. He went to A School in Great Lakes. I believe he flew onto the ship only a few days before your son. They must be having such an adventure.
