Hi Lucia, my son has finished his supply classes and will soon be coming home on leave. I can't wait!!! His orders have him going to Norfolk....he's assigned to the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

How's Tara doing?

Lucia,
I received the article in an e-mail. If you go to Navy Times.com. The follow up article in under the title "Navy identifies missing sailor is Va. Native." The follow up article is dated 02/10/09. The dead sailor is identified as Theophilus Ansong, who went into the water when the raft he was in capsized. 2 other sailors also went in the water, but were rescued. Sailor Ansong was an engineman 1st class. I am just so glad that his family got him back and I continue to pray for them.

Hi Lucia, thanks for the post. Do you know how long she'll be stationed in Japan? I hope she'll like it. My son says he doesn't think A school will take that long....he plans to breeze thru the course material. I'll tell him to slow down & take his time so that it sinks in!

Lucia - Wow...you're right...it has been 2 months. That hardly seems possible. Sure, I'm still up for getting together for coffee. During the day give me a call at 688-6011. I'm usually there from 10:30 am to 7 pm. I'm looking forward to meeting you. Nancy

Hi Lucia, sorry it took me a day or so to respond to you. "Thread" is a page of discussion, all the conversation and comments that bind it together. You could refer to any discussion or main Group page as a "room' too I guess. Either way, it is separate from all others, allowing you to follow it more easily. If the Group is large and/or very active, comments and questions can get lost if things are moving along quickly or noone there currently knows the answer. Sometimes you have to wait a day or two and if you've received no response, then post it again. I'm sure no one is deliberately ignoring you. Be sure your question is clear. Sometimes you just have to click on the icon of the person whose comment made you ask a question and ask them for further clarification, directly, like you did with me. There are many ways to browse on this site and it can get confusing. Feel free to ask me any other user questions to help you get more comfortable with navigating the site. Best wishes to your daughter! :-)
