Hi Teri, Thanks for writing. Yes, my son is done with 4 years of his life in the navy on the Truman!!! He is so exicited. He really didn't like it that well. He is going to go back to school. Hopefully do better this time and have more time for his son and girlfriend.
How is your son doing? I hope he does well with the navy.
Take care! and God bless!
Hey Teri Q!! You know I'll give him a big Alabama Hug from this momma for you!! Do you know if his wife will be coming? Im getting so excited; and already started packing!!LOL If I could leave today I would and just wait for the ship!!LOL But wouldnt you know "life" still goes on; dang it. I miss my boy sooooo much! He's met a nice girl and she's at home now for the summer; she attends MI State and lives in Ft Lauderdale with her mom when she's not in school. Im happy he's found someone; I prayed for a nice girl for him; sailors get lonely and they need someone to think of them and love them while their gone. Lord knows he's got a momma that misses him!
Hi Teri! I hope everything is well with you and your family. How are Tony and Alicia doing? Jessica is doing well in Okinawa. She was in a motorcycle accident and broke her foot. She was very lucky concidering!! She has seen several fellow sailors from boot camp who are stationed on ships when they come to Okinawa. It looks like she'll be there for while. Hope to talk to you soon. Pam
Hi Teri. How have you been? I haven't left you comment in so long..lol So just thought I'd say hi. I hope you, your sailor and the rest of the family are doing well :)
Aww, how sweet! Alicia love you so much too; you can tell by her words. I hope one day my sailor finds a wonderful girl like your Tony found Alicia. Im praying for that too! She sounds like a wonderful young lady. Lucky Tony!
Dear Teri,
How are you doing tongiht? Thank you for the information. I'll check it out.
My vertigo is permenant. I have the Meneire's Disease, so there is no relief with this. Some days it's so bad. I have to walk with a cane. But if I take a walk, I have to use a walker.
Now that you've written, how long is Anthony in the Navy now?
What is his rate?
My daughter Kim only graduated last June. She's on the USS Normandy in Virginia. SHe reads the radar.
I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
I know too Teri Q I would move to VA in a heart beat if I could! I know what you mean about missing your son too. I have my mom, dad and sister and her family but I dont like to tell my parents too much because they are up in age and worry alot and my sister is a busy person with her family too; ya'll have become my support here on this site and the good Lord above. You know Travis knows sailors by their last name only and I ask him if he knows anyone here that I talk to; but he did recognize one fella and thats Sheila's son; he went to Aschool with him but not on the Truman. Im sure one day these fellas will meet up and wont even know that their moms already know each other!LOL You're right about them being on the ship and doing their jobs and dont know what to do with themselves on land! I ask Travis can he take classes online and he said with the job he has now he cant. 12 hour shifts and what time he has he trys to exercise and keep his body in shape. I sure do miss him.
Oh, Thank you so much for asking about me. It's hard being a single person and an empty nester on top of it and not feeling well. Your thoughtfulness does not go unnoticed. Thank you again for thinking of me.
