Ya I think we are all kind of feeling that way huh?! :) We will take what we can get. :-) What ship is your son on? My son will be attached to a submarine once he completes school, which is a ways down the road... he decided to take that route instead of being on a ship. I have to say I am so glad I joined this website, it has been a huge comfort being able to talk with others going through the same. Hope you have a good weekend.

Thank you so much! It is very hard to send them off but once he gets to South Carolina and begins school I think it will be easier. I think the hardest part is the lack of communication with them. Take care!

So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Mine was 11/7 and 422. I saw your post and knew it was close to my son's PIR. We stayed at the residence too and loved it. My son is currently on hold in GL and if he is still there this weekend, we might go visit him again before he ships out to SC.
Welcome to this site--there is so much information people are willing to share.
